Who is Soma's Astrology?

I offer several levels of chart services from in-person and video chat consultations for your own personal birth chart, illustrated written natal reports, as well as chart analysis for some major life transitions such as child birth. A chart consultation is meant to be like a conversation with a good friend that you've never met before. I am there to help you see your life through a different lens, or to reaffirm something about your life that you knew but weren't sure about until it was vocalized. It is a form of collaborative omen reception facilitated by my background in polyvalent interpretations.

In addition to chart work, I also offer handmade art which I create uniquely for your own chart (or that of a close loved one such as a new baby or a partner.) These are one of a kind keepsakes which can be customized based on your wishes and intent.

My Background

I have been an enthusiast of sidereal astrology for many years and a serious student of Vedic Astrology (Jyotisha) for nearly 15 years. In addition I am constantly learning to incorporate other astrological traditions, approaches, and techniques from around the globe including ancient Hellenistic, Mayan, modern Evolutionary, and Mythopoetic/Archetypal Astrology to my practice.

My academic studies and degree from The University of Washington and The Evergreen State College were interdisciplinary in nature. From Comparative Literature and Film Studies, Fine Arts, to Cultural and Medical Anthropology, to the Comparative History of Ideas (ie World Philosophies) to Women's Studies, my interests were always the study of people in all their varied contexts.

I am also a doula, postpartum doula, and aspiring death doula. Life transitions are my area of strongest interest.
